can one use Adobe Fireworks to creator logos?
Is it a software that is acceptable in the graphics designing world as far as vector is concerned?

Usually most people use Fireworks for web page mock ups, but you can create vector images in it as well as crop and apply filters to your photos. What I LOVE about it, is that you can do all of your work in Adobe Illustrator (if you are more comfortable in it like me) and open your ai. file up right in fireworks! Sometimes there are minor issues (such as spacing which is easily fixed) but if you choose open as text and keep layers, it makes it super easy. If you are familiar with Adobe Illustrator, it will be an easy transition for you. Hope this helps!
