depending on the time and the money. If they pay well I would do a whole special font to match the logo. But if it for a contact I just choose the nearest one that looks great on it.

any free font can be changed in a logo to become unique, you need to fix some proportions, add some new stuff, cut a bit and the font looks cool and fresh, most free fonts are just "covers" of paid ones...or upgraded old school fonts
